I’m a registered social worker and psychotherapist in Ontario. My approach is diverse and focused on all aspects of your unique identity and lived experiences. I draw from different models and perspectives to make our work together fit who you are, so that you can learn, grow and transform in a way that feels right for you. Some of the evidence-informed therapeutic models that I incorporate in my practice are: Mindfulness, (Affirmative) CBT, Brief (Solution-Focused and Strengths-Based) Therapy, (Trauma-Focused) Narrative Therapy, Sex Therapy, Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS). I’m experienced in individual, couple and family counselling, crisis intervention, psycho-educational, group facilitation, program development, case management, mentorship, community education and outreach, training, clinical supervision and management of volunteers, students and staff. I offer virtual (video or phone-based) individual counselling, paired counselling (for partners, adult family members, friends, roommates, colleagues), and clinical consultations (for individuals, professional teams and organizations).
Déclaration personnelle:
I’m a white-passing, Middle-Eastern, bisexual woman and a first-generation immigrant and settler. I know what it’s like to feel lost, confused, doubtful, overwhelmed, frustrated, misunderstood, lonely, exhausted, and not good enough! I know the effort and energy it takes to step into and embrace a journey of self-discovery, healing and growth. I also know how incredibly transformative it can be! My passion is to support people who are committed to self-exploration and healing as part of their ongoing personal and professional growth. This involves integrating the past with the present, finding balance, feeling grounded and content in yourself, creating connections that nourish you, and leading a fulfilling life that captures every aspect of your identity. I’ve worked with diverse populations since 2012, including BIPOC folks (newcomers and refugees) and 2SLGBTQIA+ community members (in my private practice since 2017, as a former counsellor and manager at The 519 for 3 years).
