Sheena has extensive experience working with children and youth who are in crisis, have various mental health issues, developmental disorders and/or behavioural concerns. Sheena has worked with children, adolescents and families struggling with various concerns such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, grief, low self-esteem, trauma, and teenage pregnancy. She has worked with her clients using various techniques (dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), collaborative problem solving, family systems, solution-focused, & strengths-based approaches). Sheena received her bachelor’s degree in Child & Youth Studies from Brock University, a graduate degree from Niagara College in ECE-Resource-Teaching, and a master’s degree in Social Work. Experience working within post-secondary institutions, within the school system with children with high behavioral needs, providing crisis services over the phone for Pathstone Mental Health, and currently as a social worker at Niagara Children’s Centre. Specializations include ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, Self-Esteem, ODD, Trauma, Human Trafficking, Parenting Strategies, ASD & Grief.
