Specialized Training:
Welcome! For twenty five years I have been privileged to work with individuals, families and groups facing relationship and interpersonal issues, health challenges, who are depressed, feeling alone, coping with workplace stress, past or present family dysfunction, and many other issues. With a wide range of hospital-based and primary care-based experience, and now in private practice, I may most appropriately be described as an adult generalist. Additionally, through trainings, focused experience and clinical research, I have developed areas of specialization in the areas of Relational Psychotherapy (a psychotherapeutic model) and in working with individuals and their loved ones facing a cancer diagnosis or survivorship issues.
Personal Statement:
We all flourish when we feel valued, accepted, deeply known and understood. With a warm, relaxed and conversational style, I provide a safe and nurturing space through which you can explore the issues that have led you to seek professional help. In successful therapy, and despite the often painful material you bring in, you look forward to your sessions. You will begin to experience yourself feeling more spontaneous and flexible, more confident, perhaps more loving and loveable, and more like the person you know yourself to be. We will work together as a team to make this happen. I invite you to visit my website for an elaboration of my services, areas of specialization and approach. Please feel free to contact me directly to set up a free 15 minute consultation so that we can discuss your particular concerns and needs.
