Specialized Training:
Throughout my career, I have continued training on an ongoing basis to upgrade and maintain my skills as an individual, couple and family therapist. I have added expertise in the area of attachment, parenting and preschool children. Lately my interest and training has focused on working with couples.
Personal Statement:
My passion has always been with children and families. Most of my career has been focused on families with young children. I have counselled families in the areas of parenting, separation and divorce, anxiety and depression, addictions and grief. I have also designed my own parenting group, “Building Blocks for Parenting Young Children”, which is specifically designed to offer the hands on child management strategies that work best for younger children.
My philosophy when it comes to counselling is all about respect. I believe that everyone is unique and comes with their own personal strengths, resources and needs. They are the expert on their own lives and have the insights and knowledge about their future. I believe I can provide the guidance and support to help everyone reach their goals.
