Specialized Training:
I have many years of expertise in counselling and psychotherapy working with individuals, couples and families. In my current practice, as a social worker/counsellor, I am respectful of people’s diverse life experiences by valuing their existing strengths with an empathetic and positive approach to the challenges they face. I have worked with people facing multi-faceted issues in their relationships and communities including: struggles with abuse, grief, anxiety, depression, parenting and anger. I began my practice in Uruguay and work in both Spanish and English.
Personal Statement:
My work at a Toronto agency has additionally given me experience working with families who have experienced separation and divorce. I use divorce specific interventions to help parents manage conflict within their co-parenting relationships and help their children adjust to separation. I also have a strong passion for working with couples to help them break the cycle of conflict, repair the trust and rebuild their connection. My private practise in North York and Vaughan areas is accepting new clients.
