For the past 23 years,I have been employed as Program Co-ordinator and Social Worker of Canada's largest in-patient program for Eating Disorders at Homewood Health Centre in Guelph, Ontario.I also hold experience in general psychiatry,and addictions. I presently have a private practice with The Wellness Collaborative,treating adolescents and adults with Eating Disorders and Disordered Eating, also offering support to Caregivers. My practice is located in Downtown Guelph, however telephone and Skype sessions are also available.
Personal Statement:
For the past 15 years, I have chaired the Wellington-Dufferin- Guelph Eating Disorders Coalition (recently changed to the Waterloo-Wellington Eating Disorders Coalition). Community outreach, prevention and education are also a professional interest/expertise of mine. I received the YMCA/YWCA Women of Distinction Award in 2013 for my work in the Eating Disorders field in the Guelph community. Among my numerous conference presentations, I was invited to offer a workshop at OASW's Annual Meeting and Education Day in 2014.
