Specialized Training:
I am a trauma focused and trauma-informed therapist. I have a strengths-based approach within sessions. I use approaches such as solution focused, narrative therapy, attachment-based therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Art Therapy.
Personal Statement:
I am a white settler who is a member of the queer community. I have worked primarily with Indigenous communities and members of the queer community in my experience in social work. I am knowledgeable about the non-monogamous community as well. My clientele have often told me that they are happy to be able to work with someone who truly understands the experience of mental health and addiction as someone who has experienced these things myself and recovered. Wherever you are in your healing journey, I will meet you there. You are the guide on your path to wellness. I offer counselling, goal setting, safety planning, and harm reduction techniques. If you are looking for someone with this experience, please send me an email to discuss further. I look forward to hearing from you!
