Personal Statement:
If you are hoping for support, insight, and direction in a non-judgmental environment, we may be a good match. I have been working, teaching, and volunteering in social service organizations for over 20 years, and have primarily focused on hospital-based mental health for the past 11 years. I offer private sessions on Sundays in Whitby. I focus on providing individual therapy and support to adults, often providing intervention based on principles from cognitive behavioural therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, motivational interviewing, psychoeducation, and other approaches. I have a special interest in the areas of mood disorder(s), anxiety disorder(s), emotion dysregulation, women’s health, and trauma work. My approach is perhaps best described as non-judgmental, authentic, pragmatic, knowledgeable, and accepting. I use energetic warmth and humour to support clients in meeting their goals, and can shift into a more active stance for clients who request direction. I invite you to contact me for more information about how we might work together to enhance your peace of mind.
