Specialized Training:
My areas of interest include anxiety, depression, stress management, trauma, and self-esteem building. I have specialized training in Brief Solution Focused, Cognitive Behavioural (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioural (DBT) therapies, and draw from collaborative, strength-based, mindfulness, and positive psychotherapy approaches.
Personal Statement:
Experiences from childhood, as well as current stressors, affect our day to day lives, treating each person's circumstances, and their ability to cope with different issues. I approach every client as a unique individual, therefore forming my approach to their specific needs. Together we can discuss what brings you to counselling, and find solutions to your problems. My goal is to help you to reduce the stress and negativity in your life, and to build a more positive and rewarding one. I offer you compassion, empathy, practicality, and, when appropriate, humour. My office is a safe place where you will be heard and respected.
