Jackie Grandy has a Master of Social Work and is licensed with the OASW and OCSWSSW. She has specialized training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, family therapy and trauma and recovery. Jackie is an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Toronto Factor-Inwentash School of Social Work where she acts as a field supervisor. She has lectured publicly on working with eating disorders, food and weight preoccupation, and LGBTQ mental health.
Personal Statement:
Jackie Grandy, MSW, RSW, is an experienced psychotherapist who works with adults, children and families both in her private practice and as a clinician at the George Hull Centre for Children and Families. Jackie uses a trauma-informed and anti-oppressive lens and believes therapy is a collaborative and hopeful process grounded in a caring, respectful relationship. She specializes in crisis intervention, child and youth mental health, family therapy, LGBTQ mental health, disordered eating and food and weight preoccupation. Jackie is also a passionate public speaker and has worked with diverse service providers, delivering agency trainings and interactive workshops for schools and universities, and speaking at conferences nationwide. She is strongly invested in working within traditionally underserved communities to improve equitable access to mental health care.
