Personal Statement:
My name is Koye and I am a Clinical Counselling Therapist.
I have been working in mental health for over 10 years with a specialized focus on youth, adults and their families. I enjoy working with individuals, families, and couples - all are welcome!
I use an attachment and family systems theory approach in counselling; we are all emotionally connected whether it's with our families, friends, or peers. Our experiences and interactions with these humans deeply matter; it's important to understand how we interpret our experiences and how it affects us. Our environments also have the ability to impact the way we interpret our experiences and interactions; it can be helpful to develop an awareness of the common miscommunication we experience based on our past experiences and in challenging ourselves and taking steps towards wellness.
In goal-oriented sessions, I provide a safe and comfortable environment in which we can work together to develop skills and strategies that lead to change that can be maintained over the long-term. My goal is to ensure you feel supported throughout this process.
