Personal Statement:
My counselling practice encompasses a whole person approach to mental health and well-being. I understand the personal and environmental issues that impact a person’s ability to recover from life’s challenging events whether they be personal issues, relationships, work-related issues, or problems related to disability and health. My goal is to help people function better. My professional focus is on issues of identity, personal meaning, adaptive behaviours, and the environments in which stressful events unfold. I strive to be sensitive, engaging and direct. I have compassion and a genuine interest in working with people toward a shared understanding of their difficulties and their preferred future. I have a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Windsor. I am a graduate of Trent University (Hons Psych) and the Ontario College of Homeopathic Medicine. I have studied many spiritual and healing traditions over the past decades.
