I have provided psychotherapy in a variety of settings that include therapeutic treatment schools for adolescents, domestic violence shelters, community mental health centers, residential programming for adolescents, and private practice. I also work with individuals and couples with identity issues, gender identity, and LGBT concerns, including internalized homophobia. I specialize in trauma, personality disorders, family conflict, and abuse. I have trained in various psychotherapies including CBT, DBT, Psychodynamic, Family Systems & Trauma-based Treatment to name a few. To provide you with my best treatment, my learning is ongoing both professionally & personally. I am also Level 1 trained in Sensori-motor Trauma Psychotherapy.
Personal Statement:
My philosophy to clinical work is one of employing strength-based collaboration with clients. I hope to create an environment where clients can feel safe to make and meet their own goals as well as gain acceptance and insight into their lives and who they are as individuals. My aim is to work transparently and honestly with clients with the understanding that this is collaborative work! You bring your expertise in your life when you come to therapy and I value that in my work with you.
