Personal Statement:
My career passion-supporting those in emotional distress and who struggle with mental illness. I believe that within us we have the capacity to work towards recovery and healing if given support and encouragement. I have experienced how changing the environment can change the person. Social work training provides me with a solid foundation of counseling skills and knowledge in a broad range of theories and therapies in which to offer this support. I strive to be fully present with a client, adapting my techniques to suit the client's needs. Emotionally connecting with others is energizing for me.
