I have specialized training to work with adult survivors of sexual abuse, First Nations residential school survivors, critical incident stress debriefing, leadership/life coaching, conflict resolution, EMDR, Trauma Therapy and I am a certified Trauma Sensitive Yoga instructor. An experienced Instructor / Teacher for several colleges and universities. Deep knowledge of numerous First Nations communities and the unique challenges they face. Contracted service provider to most EAPs and other government programs including: HC EAP, FSEAP, HumanaCare, Arete, Solareh, CVAP, ICBC, CannAmm, Nisga’a, FNHA, RHAP, Squamish Nation, Inter Tribunal Health Authority, etc.
Personal Statement:
A seasoned counselling specialist who has been in the helping profession for over 35 years and in private practice for over 25 years. I have extensive experience working with a wide variety of clients including children, adolescents, individuals, couples and families from various ethnic and economic backgrounds. I use a variety of approaches in my practice including coaching, CBT, communication skills training, Cross Cultural Therapy, Family Systems, Neurobiology, EMDR, Psycho Dynamic and Yoga for Trauma.
